President Donald Trump Is Calling On One NFL Team To Hire John Harbaugh As Their Next Head Coach

President Donald Trump named the team that he’d like to hire former Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh.
In a surprise move, the Ravens fired John Harbaugh after losing their Week 18 win-or-go-home game to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Harbaugh had been their head coach since 2008, recording just three losing seasons during his tenure.
Harbaugh has immediately become the top name available in the 2026 NFL head coach hiring cycle. According to Fox Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer, Harbaugh will limit his interviews “to about three or four teams and make his decision on where he wants to go this week.”
In the eyes of Donald Trump, Harbaugh’s decision should be an easy one. The 79-year-old would like the legendary head coach to join his home state team in the NFC:

The Giants fired head coach Brian Daboll after a 2-8 start , with Mike Kafka finishing the year as the interim HC. They have interviewed Kafka, Antonio Pierce and Kevin Stefanski for their HC vacancy thus far.
John Harbaugh & Giants Look Like The Perfect Fit

Aside from the Ravens and Giants, the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders, Miami Dolphins and Tennessee Titans also have head coaching vacancies.
But most of those teams don’t have a long-term answer at quarterback. The Giants already have one in Jaxson Dart, who had a rock-solid rookie year despite season-ending injuries to top wideout Malik Nabers and running back Cam Skattebo.
If Harbaugh prioritizes a team that will win sooner rather than later, the Giants are probably the best fit. They have a promising nucleus on offense and a dynamic front seven led by Abdul Carter, Brian Burns and Dexter Lawrence.
