NFL fans think the officials “rigged” the Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos Divisional Round game after a controversial finish.

The thrilling showdown between the Denver Broncos and the Buffalo Bills went to overtime. Both teams had to punt on their opening possessions, setting the stage for Bo Nix and the Denver offense to play hero.

On a 2nd-and-12 situation in Buffalo territory, Nix’s pass to Courtland Sutton fell incomplete. But the officials curiously flagged Taron Johnson for pass interference, giving Denver the ball at the Buffalo 36:

Then, on a 2nd-and-12 situation, Tre’Davious White was flagged for a defensive PI call that essentially iced the game:

That set up an easy field goal for veteran kicker Wil Lutz, sending Denver to the AFC Championship Game.

Unhappy fans accused the NFL refs of “fixing” the game for the Denver Broncos:

“If there was ever a reason to stop watching the NFL its today. Absolutely unwatchable and rigged against the Bills pass interference calls and gambling have ruined this game,” one fan said.

“BUFvsDEN feel bad for Bills fans. That game was obviously rigged,” a user said.

“This is most blatantly scripted rigged nfl game ive ever witnessed,” a fan commented.

“The end of the Denver Buffalo game is exactly why I stopped watching NFL Football. Hard to say that it isn’t rigged,” another wrote.

“I never believed the #NFL could be fixed until I watched the end of the Bills/Broncos game,” wrote a fan.

“That Buffalo Bills Denver Broncos game is the most blatantly scripted fixed game I’ve ever seen in the NFL,” said another.

Per ESPN, the refs called five penalties on the Bills for 68 yards. Denver was only penalized three times for 20 yards.
