Mike Tomlin stepped down as the Pittsburgh Steelers head coach on Tuesday, hours after the Houston Texans eliminated his team in the wild-card round of the 2025 NFL playoffs.
Tomlin ended a 19-year partnership in which he coached in two Super Bowls (1-1) and never posted a losing record. He left with a 193-114-2 record, including five 12-win seasons under his belt.
A lot of rumors have surfaced after Tomlin decided to call it a day with the Steelers. Some say he will take a TV job, while others think he will be a sought-after coach around the league. More recently, one of his close friends claimed Tomlin was done after this season.
While the speculation continues, Tomlin attended a special event.
Mike Tomlin Saw His Daughter Compete Against LSU

On Friday, Mike Tomlin traveled to Athens, Georgia, to watch his daughter, Harley, compete for the Bulldogs gymnastics team. The coach rocked a University of Georgia sweatshirt for Friday night’s event.
Harley competed in both the balance team and floor exercise contests against SEC-rival Louisiana State University. ESPN caught Tomlin smiling (which racked up over seven million views on X) as he watched his daughter post a 9.825 score. It was the ninth-best score on the evening. She posted the same score on the floor.
Harley and Co. secured the win to improve to 2-0. Their next challenge will come against the Oklahoma Sooners on Friday. The Bulldogs will travel to Norman, Oklahoma, for the showdown.
Meanwhile, Mike Tomlin is spending time with his family, something he couldn’t do as much before. His future remains up in the air, but it doesn’t look like he’s dying to make a final announcement.
