The Cleveland Browns just finished another disappointing NFL season. They won one more game than in 2024 (5-12), but it wasn’t enough to stop being mediocre.
Ownership decided to part ways with head coach Kevin Stefanski, who agreed to become the Atlanta Falcons’ new head coach on Saturday. With Stefanski set on his next challenge, the Browns continue to look for the right man to lead them to the playoffs again.
They haven’t missed candidates, including defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher, Los Angeles Chargers DC Jesse Minter, Seattle Seahawks DC Aden Durde, Baltimore Ravens OC Todd Monken and even former Miami Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel.
However, it seems that a young candidate might have the upper hand ahead of the second round of interviews.
Cleveland Browns Could Sign Youngest Head Coach In NFL History

Several years after the Los Angeles Rams signed a young Sean McVay as their head coach, the Cleveland Browns could copy the formula and add an intriguing young coordinator to their personnel. NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on Sunday that the Browns requested a second interview with Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski.
What makes this unique is that Udinski is 30 years old. If he succeeds and gets the job, he would become the youngest NFL head coach in history.

Udinski’s journey in the league began as an assistant coach for the Carolina Panthers in 2020. He joined the Minnesota Vikings in 2022 as an assistant to the head coach and special projects. Then, he became the assistant quarterbacks coach/chief of special projects in 2023. Udinski was promoted to assistant offensive coordinator and assistant quarterbacks coach in 2024.
Liam Coen hired him as the Jaguars’ OC ahead of 2025, and the results were remarkable. The Jaguars posted a 13-4 record, and ranked 11th in total passing yards (4,026), eighth in passing touchdowns (29) and sixth in touchdown rushing (22).
