Lamar Jackson Gets Dealt To Rival AFC Team In Blockbuster Trade Proposal That Could Actually Happen This Offseason

The Baltimore Ravens wouldn’t dare trade Lamar Jackson, right?
Well, according to ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio, they just might be tempted.
Jackson endured another disappointing campaign in Baltimore, which ended in John Harbaugh’s dismissal. He didn’t appear to be too happy with his head coach after the Pittsburgh Steelers knocked the Ravens out of the playoffs.
And it’s been rumored that he has a replacement in mind.
Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Raiders are likely set to bring in a new quarterback in 2026. Geno Smith clearly did not work out.
They’re expected to go out and draft their future franchise QB, with Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza thought to be the likeliest choice. But that’s not such a sure thing yet.
For one, Mendoza hasn’t officially declared. On the other hand, they could also be seeking a proven star. While Jackson has not been made available, Florio says there’s a feeling in league circles that the AFC West outfit could at least discuss a trade with the Ravens.
“There are some who believe, and this was in the Mike Preston column about the Ravens and Lamar Jackson, and I have a feeling that Mike Preston has heard the same kind of things I have heard. There’s a feeling out there that the Raiders are going to make a play for Lamar. That that’s the big splash,” Florio said on PFT Live.
Baltimore Ravens More Committed To Lamar Jackson Than Ever Before

The Raiders have the No. 1 overall pick for 2026, an incredibly valuable chip, but it will take more than that to get a team to part ways with a 29-year-old, two-time MVP.
The Preston column Florio referenced suggested that the Ravens would consider two or three first-round picks.
“The Ravens should look at possible trades, which could net them two or three first-round picks,” it reads. “Jackson would love to play in Miami, where quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is no longer the starter, or possibly Las Vegas, where Brady, a partial owner of the Raiders, has shown a fondness for him. Baltimore should also draft a young quarterback in the early rounds.”
The piece was written weeks before the Ravens fired Harbaugh, however.
That they cut ties with the coach implies that they are committed to Jackson. The QB was believed to be at odds with the coach.
Still, contract talks could flip everything. So maybe this is one to watch.
