A blockbuster trade proposal has the Las Vegas Raiders sending superstar defensive end Maxx Crosby to an NFC heavyweight in a move that would turn the NFL upside down.

The Las Vegas Raiders fired head coach Pete Carroll after finishing with a 3-14 record. The Silver and Black hold the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. They are widely expected to take Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

Days before the Raiders’ Week 17 game against the New York Giants, news broke that Maxx Crosby left the team facility after a disagreement with his coaches. Crosby was apparently unhappy when the Raiders told him he’d be shut down for the last two games.

At the time, Pete Carroll acknowledged it was a difficult decision, but they simply didn’t think Crosby was healthy enough to play. And with that, the Crosby trade speculation began to take off.

The FanDuel X/Twitter account proposed a fascinating trade idea that would give Crosby the chance to chase a Super Bowl.

FanDuel suggests a trade that sends Maxx Crosby to the Chicago Bears. In return, the Raiders would get star wideout DJ Moore, 2026 first and fifth-round picks and a 2027 second-round pick:

Moore is coming off a disappointing season that saw him catch 50 passes for 682 yards and six touchdowns, per Pro Football Reference. But he could benefit from a change of scenery, and the Raiders need a No. 1 receiver.

Chicago’s magical 2025 season ended with an overtime loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round. One issue was the pass rush, which lacked game-wreckers outside of veteran Montez Sweat (10 sacks).

Adding Crosby could single-handedly turn Chicago’s defense into one of football’s best. For Vegas, it would be a tremendous haul for a disgruntled veteran.
