Buffalo Bills Reportedly Have The Perfect Replacement For Sean McDermott

Following another heartbreaking end to the season, the Buffalo Bills officially decided to pull the plug on Sean McDermott. The renowned coach did what he could with the hand he was given.
However, the Bills failed to go the distance in the playoffs. And, in a playoff pool that didn’t feature the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow, it seemed like this was their best shot at a Super Bowl. That’s why they fired him in a bombshell twist.
As expected, the Bills will be one of the most coveted openings in the market. However, Rotoballer’s Andy Smith believes they will turn to a familiar face.
In his latest column, he predicted that former offensive coordinator Brian Daboll would replace Sean McDermott:
“This will be one of the most coveted jobs on the market with superstar QB Josh Allen under center,” Smith wrote. “While the current offensive coordinator, Joe Brady, will be considered for this title, expect the Bills to bring in a former head coach, Brian Daboll. From 2018 through 2021, Daboll led Buffalo to holding a top-5 scoring offense in two seasons and was even named the 2020 AP Assistant Coach of the Year.”
Daboll didn’t do well with the New York Giants. That being said, he’s more than familiar with Josh Allen and the Bills organization.
Sean McDermott Called Out The Bills’ Flaws

Some believe that Sean McDermott’s firing was unfair. If anything, he did extremely well in the only year he was in control of the NFL Draft.
More than that, the Bills won a playoff game in six consecutive seasons under his watch. According to NFL reporter Vic Carucci, the Bills’ front office and ownership didn’t appreciate that McDermott criticized the state of the roster:
“I’m told that during a meeting held five weeks ago between McDermott, Beane and Pegula, the coach pointed out what the roster lacked to win a Super Bowl. I don’t know the specifics McDermott mentioned, but I’m told neither Beane nor Pegula was pleased with McDermott’s assessment,” Carucci wrote.
Multiple coaches will be lining up to get a chance to coach Josh Allen. The Bills should continue to be a powerhouse in the AFC.
Nevertheless, it’s hard to envision them getting the monkey off their back with this roster. Allen needs weapons, and they need to act fast.
