Cameras caught New England Patriots star wide receiver Stefon Diggs doing the craziest thing on the sidelines to hype up his teammates before Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos.
Stefon Diggs’ Patriots entered Sunday’s title game as a slight favorite over the Denver Broncos, The home team has to play backup Jarrett Stidham in place of an injured Bo Nix. The latter suffered a season-ending ankle injury in last week’s Divisional Round win over the Buffalo Bills.
CBS Sports’ Evan Washburn was reporting from the sideline before kickoff. Diggs was seen doing something odd to hype up his teammates. Diggs went up to another Patriot and headbutted him, even though the Pro Bowl wideout didn’t have a helmet on:

Unfortunately, NFL players get concussions all the time from head-to-head contact with helmets on. Stefon Diggs should have thought twice about headbutting a teammate without head protection.
In the Patriots’ first two playoff games, Diggs had six catches for 56 yards and a touchdown, per Pro Football Reference. He’s in the first year of a three-year deal signed with the Pats in 2025 free agency.
The winner of this game will face the NFC Champion in Super Bowl 60 on Feb. 8.
