Maxx Crosby became one of the most popular names in trade rumors during the 2025 NFL season. The Las Vegas Raiders star was mentioned as a potential target for the Dallas Cowboys ahead of the trade deadline.
Crosby has been linked with multiple contenders in recent weeks. The Seattle Seahawks could join the race for a blockbuster trade to land the star defensive end. The Chicago Bears have been mentioned as a potential suitor for the Raiders player, too.
Four more teams could be in the race for Crosby, whose future remains a mystery. However, he would address all these teams’ struggles as soon as he lands in their cities.
Maxx Crosby Linked With 4 NFL Teams Amid Sour Relationship With Raiders

After former coach Pete Carroll shut him down for the final two weeks of 2025, Maxx Crosby could hit the trade market this offseason. The Raiders will have renewed expectations with Klint Kubiak as head coach. Additionally, they will likely draft exciting prospect Fernando Mendoza as their starting quarterback. This could convince Crosby to stay in Las Vegas.
On the other hand, Tyler Sullivan of CBS Sports named the Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys as potential landing spots for Crosby.
“The Las Vegas Raiders are entering a new chapter with the likely addition of Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick at the 2026 NFL Draft. That timeline doesn’t exactly mesh with where Crosby is at this stage of his career, which could set up a possible trade,” Sullivan wrote.
“Moreover, Crosby’s relationship with the franchise may be fractured a bit after he was shut down over the final two weeks despite his desire to keep playing. While that was under a previous coaching regime led by Pete Carroll, it’s fair to wonder if that sour ending could spring a trade.”
In 15 games in 2025, Crosby posted 73 tackles, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception for 19 yards and six passes defended.
