New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has addressed his shoulder injury ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl 60 clash with the Seattle Seahawks.
There was some concern among Patriots fans when Drake Maye was put on the injury report with a shoulder injury. Maye has already been sacked a whopping 15 times in the playoffs this season.
Maye’s health has been one of the main storylines leading up to Super Bowl 60. And for quarterbacks, injuries are especially worth monitoring.
Fortunately for Patriots fans, Drake Maye provided an encouraging injury update on Wednesday, four days ahead of the Super Bowl.
“The shoulder feels great,” Maye told reporters, per Duke Castiglione of WCVB. “That’s why you have guys in the training room. I’m feeling, you know, ready to go.”
Maye suffered the injury in the Patriots’ 10-7 road win over the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game. But he made just enough plays to help the Pats win a defensive slugfest for the ages in a snowy affair.
The NFC Champions enter this game as a 4.5-point favorite, and ESPN’s computer model is picking Seattle to win. We’ll soon find out if Maye and the Pats can put a Cinderella end to this incredible underdog story.
Whatever Happens, 2025 Has Been A Special Season For Drake Maye

Even the most optimistic of Patriots fans couldn’t have expected a 14-win season or deep playoff run this year. Something in the 10 to 11-win range and a wild card berth felt like the best-case scenario.
But Maye and the Patriots have exceeded expectations from the beginning under head coach Mike Vrabel. The Pats dethroned the Buffalo Bills as the new thrones of the AFC East, then ran through the AFC bracket to reach the Super Bowl
Win or lose, 2025 has been nothing short of a wonderful success for Maye and the Patriots. Whatever happens, Vrabel has built a special winning culture, and their title window is just opening.
