Druski lost most people with his purposeful blunder at the NFL Honors ceremony on Thursday night.

The comedian and influencer had the honor of presenting Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba with the Offensive Player of the Year Award. However, he decided to make a mockery out of the whole thing by mispronouncing the wideout’s last name.

Standing next to NFL Hall of Famer Barry Sanders, a laughing Druski pointed out that Njigba decided not to show up.

He then went to name the recipient, butchering his name with a racial slur, though he gets a pass because he’s Black.

Even so, the bit was in poor taste. As you can see in the video below, it took Sanders by surprise.

This is all on top of the NFL getting blasted for mocking the Pope during another bit on Thursday night.

“First time I genuinely felt like Druski did some lame s**t,” someone commented.

“Bruh, Druski really said that on live TV? Some things are funny, some things are just wrong. Always respect people’s names,” one user pointed out.

“Ruined JSN’s moment, such a weirdo for this,” another offered.

“He wouldn’t try that with will smith tho. Just saying,” a user joked.

“People get cancelled over what he said😂,” someone laughed.

“Seriously though, that was embarrassing for everyone.”

The Seahawks didn’t find Druski’s antics funny either.

“Hall of Famer Barry Sanders drew the short straw getting stuck with @druski’s big whiff tonight. Put some respect on @Seahawks WR @jaxon_smith1’s name,” the team posted to X.

JSN had a remarkable season with Seattle, his exploits taking them all the way to the Super Bowl. He has a date with destiny this Sunday, with the New England Patriots now the only ones standing in his way of a Lombardi.

Smith-Njigba registered 119 catches for 1,793 yards receiving with 10 touchdowns for Seattle this season.

The award is, of course, well deserved.
