Bad Bunny has revealed he has a preferred NFL team following his Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show performance.

Unfortunately for the Puerto Rican, his team wasn’t involved in Sunday’s game. But they were still around in a sense.

The Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots on the night, with the 31-year-old taking care of proceedings at the break. He used his 15 minutes of fame to shoot a movie, bringing along multiple celebs.

The reggaeton artist, whose real name is Benito Ocasio, came out wearing a white football jersey bearing his last name and the number 64. It later emerged that he wore the number to honor his deceased uncle

“I always dreamed of taking my uncle to a Super Bowl one year, but I couldn’t; his death was sudden and without warning,” he told USA Today. “So I decided to bring him on my shirt when I performed at the Super Bowl: OCASIO, his last name, the same as my mom, along with his birth year, ’64. I dedicated my show before I began; I am sure he saw it, he was present, and he felt proud of his nephew.”

Ocasio also told the publication that his uncle was a San Francisco 49ers fan.

While the team did not play on Sunday, his performance was still special as it was hosted at the team’s Levi’s Stadium.

“He was a big fan of the San Francisco 49ers,” the singer said. “He died two years ago, a short time after the 49ers lost against Kansas City in the 2024 Super Bowl. … Now all we need is for the 49ers to one day win the Super Bowl again.”

The 49ers made it past the first round of the playoffs last season, but their injuries eventually caught up to them.

The NFC team will need to get a handle on its fitness problems if it’s to contend next season. It’s already gotten some tough news, with one of their players getting shot in the foot this week.
