A new report has brought new attention to New York Giants owner Steve Tisch and his connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The Athletic reported that Epstein introduced Tisch to at least four women during the spring of 2013.

The report says Tisch met Epstein for breakfast in April 2013. After that meeting, the two men exchanged emails about women. Tisch has said he had only a “brief association” with Epstein.

The emails mentioned in the report show Tisch thanking Epstein for introducing him to a young woman from Tahiti. In one message, Tisch wrote that “she is adorable.” The emails also show that Tisch invited another woman to Boston several times while he was there for the NFL owners’ meetings.

Epstein’s Emails Raise New Questions

According to The Athletic, Epstein and Tisch exchanged messages in blunt terms. Epstein suggested several women to Tisch. He described one as an aspiring actress with a “10 a–.” Also, he mentioned a microbiology major at a university. Moreover, he also referred to an “exotic” Tahitian woman and assured Tisch she was not a “working girl.”

In one exchange, Epstein showed concern about leaving a record. He wrote, “send me a number to call I don’t like records of these conversations.” Despite that note, the emails continued. In May 2013, Epstein wrote to Tisch, “New one for you.” Tisch tried to arrange a meeting with that woman and repeatedly invited her to Boston, but the emails suggest they never connected.

Lawmakers have also taken notice. During a congressional hearing, Democratic Rep. Zoe Lofgren of California asked US Attorney General Pam Bondi whether the emails amount to credible evidence that could warrant further investigation.

“Do these emails constitute credible evidence — not proof, but credible evidence — warranting further investigation into whether Steve Tisch was involved in Epstein’s criminal conduct? Do you think, yes or no?” Lofgren asked.

Bondi declined to give a direct yes or no answer. “I’m not going to play a yes-no game with you but I will answer the question to the best of my ability,” she said. Bondi added that officials would review any case involving victims. She said she had not reviewed that specific email among the millions of pages tied to Epstein.

The Giants and the NFL have not issued new statements about the latest report. At the Super Bowl press conference, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell addressed questions about the matter.

“Absolutely we will look at all the facts,” Goodell said. “We’ll look at the context of those and try to understand that. We’ll look at how that falls under the policy. I think we’ll take one step at a time. Let’s get the facts first.”

Tisch, who is now 76, serves as chairman and executive vice president of the Giants. He took on that role in 2005 after his father, Preston Robert Tisch, co-owned the team.
