Amid retirement rumors, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce might have lined up his next gig. The three-time Super Bowl champion has had a busy offseason. Besides the rumors about his future in the league, he was named in a lawsuit along with teammate Patrick Mahomes.

Additionally, he continues to plan his wedding with Pop superstar Taylor Swift. Kelce has been considered a future analyst after his NFL career is done. The opportunity might be closer than expected. Sports media reporter Andrew Marchand of The Athletic reported that Kelce could make $15 million per year if he were to transition into TV.

“Travis Kelce appears as if he will try to play another season before potentially trying broadcasting, where he would like to call games, but probably could pick up at least $15 million per year as a studio presence,” Marchand wrote.

Marchand noted that if Prime Video parts ways with Kirk Herbstreit, they would look at established analysts. Fox’s Greg Olsen and CBS Sports’ J.J. Watt emerged as options. However, Kelce and Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay emerged as “wild cards” for the job.

“If Prime Video moves on from Herbstreit, it could look at the well-respected Greg Olsen of Fox and Watt, but the wild cards are Kelce and McVay,” Marchand added. “McVay just signed a new coaching deal with the Rams, which lessens — but doesn’t eliminate — the chance he could exit for the booth after the 2026 season. Stafford, the reigning NFL MVP, would be in demand whenever his playing career ends, with ESPN already eying him.”

As both men prepare for what should be a competitive season with their respective teams, they might prepare for something different. Kelce has flirted with retirement since the end of 2024, and that possibility has grown with the months.
