Patrick Mahomes Sr. appeared to have used up his last lucky star after getting arrested while on probation

However, he’s set to avoid a prison sentence, at least for now.

According to KLTV, the former MLB pitcher was on the receiving end of a favorable decision from a judge.

The judge reportedly opted to keep the older Mahomes on probation after he attended court on Monday.

Mahomes Sr. was serving a five-year probation following a guilty DUI plea in 2024.

He claimed to have quit alcohol and even celebrated sobriety via social media. But police accused him of drinking, a violation of his probation, earlier this year.

The authorities claimed Mahomes registered a high reading on his SCRAM alcohol ankle monitor on January 1. However, the judge heard that a hair follicle test returned clean, while Mahomes never admitted to drinking.

“Mahomes appeared in Judge Kerry Russell’s court Monday where it was determined a hair follicle tested for intoxication came back clean,” the report notes. “Mahomes did not admit to drinking.”

Russell did not revoke the probation, instead choosing to alter the conditions.

Mahomes Sr., the father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, is now serving a seven-year term, with the judge extending it by two years.

The ruling included a 30-day sentence, but the older Mahomes was released on Monday, receiving credit for time served.

The 55-year-old played in the MLB for 11 seasons, though he’s more popular for being the Chiefs’ QB’s dad.

Mahomes admitted to feeling terrible after getting arrested before his son was supposed to play in a recent Super Bowl.

He was facing a potential 10-year sentence and is extremely fortunate, given the latest development.
