Las Vegas Raiders Reveal Their Updated Plan For Maxx Crosby
This article was originally published on Total Pro Sports.

Maxx Crosby is no longer headed to Baltimore, with the Raiders claiming the Ravens backed out of the trade. The failed trade is a reminder that no deal in NFL free agency is truly complete until the league has processed it.
Despite his excitement about playing on the team and changing his profile picture, Crosby is right back where it all started. On Tuesday night, the Las Vegas Raiders announced that a trade sending Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens would not move forward. The Raiders alleged in a statement that the Ravens had “backed out” of the agreement.
Later reports claimed that medical concerns that arose during Crosby’s physical were the catalyst for the deal’s dissolution. Following the anticipated trade, the team agreed to deals with several key free agents. The Raiders signed at least seven different players at key positions. None of those players can be signed until 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 11.
With Maxx Crosby back on the roster, they went from having $67M in cap space to $37.9M.
The Raiders Are Not Planning To Get Rid of Maxx Crosby

Following the collapse of a trade with the Baltimore Ravens due to a failed physical, the Raiders have a new plan in place.
As of right now, they plan for star edge rusher Maxx Crosby to remain with the team for the 2026 season, per Dianna Russini.

Crosby underwent surgery for a meniscus issue in January, which contributed to the trade failure. He was on crutches as early as last week. The team is unlikely to get the two first-round draft picks that they covet as a result of the backed-out deal.
Maxx Crosby has not spoken out after the failed trade. He previously released a 12-minute goodbye to the Raiders. Now, he may be forced to play for the franchise for yet another season.
