It didn’t take Maxx Crosby long to break his silence after the Baltimore Ravens backed out of the blockbuster trade for the five-time Pro Bowler.
On Tuesday evening, the Las Vegas Raiders announced that the Ravens nixed the trade they had in place for Maxx Crosby. Baltimore had agreed to give up two first-round picks for the 28-year-old superstar.
Soon after, it was reported that the Ravens called off the trade because Crosby failed a physical. With that, the biggest name on the offseason trade board is suddenly available again.
One can only wonder what Crosby’s immediate reaction was to Tuesday’s stunning development. Judging by a post on his Instagram story, it appears that Crosby was just casually relaxing without an issue:

The Ravens have a pressing need for pass rushing help. However, most of the top free agents in the 2026 class have already signed with new teams. So, it’ll be interesting to see how Baltimore GM Eric DeCosta goes about addressing the defensive line.
Crosby has spent his entire seven-year career with the Raiders. He has 69.5 sacks and 11 forced fumbles in 110 games.
Raiders Should Still Be Motivated To Trade Maxx Crosby

The Raiders probably won’t find another team that will offer two first-round picks for Crosby. But that doesn’t mean GM John Spytek should just hold onto Crosby, who would obviously benefit from a change of scenery.
Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys reportedly offered first and second-round selections for Crosby. If that offer is still on the table, it would still be a good return for a Vegas team that’s years away from contending.
Las Vegas has never been a contender with Crosby. They’re better off trading him while his value is high, and committing to a long-term rebuild under likely No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza.
