Former Pittsburgh Steelers star Ryan Clark didn’t hold back against U.S. President Donald Trump and the White House over their recent social media activity.

The former defensive back, who now works as an ESPN analyst, took issue with some of the actions that transpired after Trump joined Israel to bomb Iran in late February. Despite receiving strong backlash, Trump continued to defend his decision.

On Friday, the White House released a video edit of the strikes on Iran, mixed with NFL and college football highlights. Clark didn’t appreciate that and called them out.

During this week’s edition of his “Pivot” podcast, Ryan Clark called out the White House for posting insensitive videos about their ongoing attacks.

“I’m disappointed because, for one, to have ‘Tropic Thunder’ and football highlights on a video about war is one of the more insensitive things that I’ve ever seen. There are families here in our country whose loved ones have decided to give their life to fight for our rights and our freedoms, who don’t see war as a sport. War doesn’t deserve a highlight film, for ‘Tropic Thunder’ to be a part of it. War is not a comedy,” Clark said.

“And for these people to be risking their lives, not for our safety as much as for someone else’s agenda, for our regime to be as unserious, as unprofessional, as laughable, and as illegitimate as our leadership is right now, is embarrassing.”

The White House also shared a video with MLB highlights. Nothing suggests they will stop soon.
