Maxx Crosby has been one of the most popular players in the NFL during the 2026 offseason. As soon as the season ended for the Las Vegas Raiders, he was involved in plenty of trade rumors.
Some placed him on the Chicago Bears, New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys, among others. The Baltimore Ravens agreed to send two first-round picks to the Raiders to acquire Crosby, only to back out of the trade after the player did (and failed) his physical test.
After the Ravens called off the trade and speculation began circulating, his agent, CJ LaBoy, sent a strong message about the status of his recovery.
“Maxx continues to be on track in his recovery and if anything is ahead of schedule according to his surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache,” LaBoy wrote. “Maxx remains on track to return during the offseason program & will undoubtedly return as the dominant game wrecker he has been these past 7 seasons.”
Rachel Crosby Rejects Notion About Maxx Crosby’s Health

Crosby’s wife, Rachel, shared LaBoy’s tweet on her Instagram stories. She added a three-word message to let people know the five-time Pro Bowler will return to his best level in 2026.
“Say it louder,” Rachel Crosby wrote, adding an emoji of hands clapping.
Maxx Crosby has played seven NFL seasons. He has tallied 439 tackles, 69.5 sacks, 11 forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and one interception for 19 yards. He committed to the Raiders again, but the possibility of a trade won’t vanish so easily.
