Jeff Bezos once again is linked with an NFL team. The Amazon founder is not new to these rumors. Back in 2024, he emerged as the frontrunner to purchase the New York Jets.

Prior to that, he had an interest in purchasing the Washington Commanders after Dan Snyder decided to sell the franchise. Josh Harris led the group that bought the team for $6.05 billion.

Now, Bezos could finally acquire an NFL franchise. The Jets were listed at $6.5 billion in 2024, but Bezos never completed the purchase. More than that, he has been rumored as a potential suitor to buy the Seattle Seahawks for nearly eight years now.

Ever since Paul Allen’s passing in 2018, rumors about Jeff Bezos potentially buying the Seattle Seahawks surfaced. The Seahawks are up for sale now, and the businessman became the favorite to acquire the team on Polymarket.

With a net worth of $224 billion, Bezos should have no problem purchasing the Seahawks. At the end of January, insider Jonathan Jones connected Bezos to a potential purchase.

“The eventual sale of the Seahawks and Jeff Bezos have been a potential connection for some time,” he said.

Seattle just won Super Bowl 60. They are one of the healthiest franchises in the league, and whoever ends up taking over should have no problem continuing the solid work they have done under Jody Allen.
