Six-time Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay, who won a Super Bowl 59 championship ring with the Philadelphia Eagles, is calling it a career.

On social media, Darius Slay announced his retirement after a marvelous 13-year career in the NFL. Slay made the announcement with a heartwarming video post and message on social media:

Slay played 10 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season before being placed on waivers. He was claimed by the playoff-bound Buffalo Bills, but decided against reporting to the team.

The Detroit Lions drafted Slay in the second round (36th overall) in 2013. He spent his first five seasons there before getting traded to Philadelphia in 2020. Slay led the Eagles to four playoff appearances, two NFC Championships and a Super Bowl 59 victory.
