Maxx Crosby’s Shocking New Trade Value Revealed After Nixed Trade With Ravens

The biggest stunner of the 2026 NFL offseason, thus far, has to be the Baltimore Ravens’ questionable decision to back out of the Maxx Crosby blockbuster trade.
Before the official new league year began last Wednesday, the Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders agreed on the framework of a blockbuster trade involving Maxx Crosby. The Ravens would receive the five-time Pro Bowler from Vegas in exchange for two first-round picks.
After the deal was nixed, it was reported that the Raiders decided to hold onto Crosby rather than explore another trade. That’s definitely their best option, because his trade market reportedly isn’t super high right now.
According to longtime NFL insider Jason La Canfora of SportsBoom, Crosby’s trade value has “diminished” following the canceled trade with Baltimore.
“Indeed. The Ravens decision certainly diminished Crosby’s trade value, and with him unlikely to be able to clear a full physical until much later in the spring, the expectation is serious talks are on hold until perhaps right around the draft at the end of April.
Even then, given what both sides have been through and Cosby’s unparalleled popularity with Raiders fans and him now publicly recommitted to the team after previously issues a private trade demand, there would be a lot to sort through.”
The Dallas Cowboys reportedly offered the Raiders first and second-round picks for Maxx Crosby. Some wondered if Dallas would revisit trade talks after the Ravens nixed the trade. But that doesn’t appear to be the case at this time.
Raiders Can Explore A Maxx Crosby Trade Later On

At this time, the Raiders are better off keeping Maxx Crosby for 2026. If he stays healthy and performs like a superstar early next season, they could always revisit trade discussions before the 2026 deadline.
If not, they would be better off trading him in the 2027 offseason. The Raiders are years away from contention, and Crosby will be 30 next year. If he has another excellent 2026 campaign, his trade value will not increase.
Vegas won’t get two first-round picks for Crosby, but they should receive at least a first and another day-two pick. At the end of the day, that may be better than keeping Crosby around until his prime years run out.
For his career, the 28-year-old defensive end out of Eastern Michigan has 69.5 sacks and 11 forced fumbles in seven seasons.
