Grammy Award-winning singer and “Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus has addressed ongoing speculation that she could headline a future Super Bowl halftime show.
Bad Bunny headlined the Super Bowl 60 halftime show at Levi’s Stadium. His show reached a record audience of 4.157 billion viewers worldwide. Whoever headlines next year’s show will obviously have some giant shoes to fill.
Miley Cyrus and Morgan Wallen have been mentioned as early front-runners to headline next year’s halftime show. Super Bowl 61 will be held at SoFi Stadium (home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers) on Feb. 14, 2027.
During an interview with Variety, Cyrus was asked about the possibility of headlining a Super Bowl halftime show down the line. Cyrus noted that the “pressure” would be through the roof, but she’s definitely open to it:
“I always think the Super Bowl feels like too much pressure. I would have to do the mental work of making it not about the Super Bowl, because then you can’t help but go, ‘It’s millions of people, and it’s the most-watched thing in the world.’
But if I could find a way to make it exactly what the Hannahversary was — taking a journey through the discography and appreciating each song, each era for what it is — I think I could find it in myself.”
The NFL usually announces the Super Bowl halftime show performer in late September. So, we’ll likely have to wait another six months for the big announcement.
Miley Cyrus Performed At Super Bowl 55 Tailgate Party

When you think of the world’s top music stars who have yet to perform at the Super Bowl, the likes of Cyrus, Adele and Taylor Swift immediately come to mind.
Though she didn’t sing at the actual halftime show, Miley Cyrus performed during the Super Bowl 55 tailgate party. The big game was held at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida. Tom Brady led his Tampa Bay Buccaneers to victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Cyrus also performed at the NCAA men’s Final Four for March Madness two months later in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Cyrus is one of the biggest music stars of her generation. So, it’s no wonder that countless fans are calling for the NFL to pick her as the Super Bowl 61 halftime show performer. We’ll find out in September.
