Several weeks after clashing with ESPN insider Adam Schefter, Mike Florio was, indirectly, at a crossroads with another fellow insider. Jordan Schultz, who infamously clashed with Ian Rapoport last year, offered a different update.

On Wednesday morning, Florio said the Denver Broncos could bring Aaron Rodgers for a visit since Bo Nix might not be ready to go for Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season.

“There’s talk of the Broncos possibly bringing Rodgers in for a visit,” Florio said. “The motivation comes from the possibility that current starter Bo Nix won’t be fully and completely back to 100 percent when Week 1 rolls around.”

Schultz offered a different update shortly after, labeling Nix as a “full go” for the team’s offseason program.

“Not only is Broncos QB Bo Nix a full go for the team’s offseason program with zero limitations, fully recovered from ankle surgery—he’s actually further along than he typically is in his offseason conditioning program, per sources,” Schultz wrote. “Some very good news for the Broncos with their franchise QB.”

A couple of hours later, the Broncos media cleared up the Aaron Rodgers rumors. Nick Kosmider of The Athletic made it clear that Bo Nix will be ready to go when the defending AFC West champions begin OTAs.

“Aaron Rodgers is not coming to Denver for a visit. When the Broncos take the field to start OTAs, they will be quarterbacked by Bo Nix. Carry on,” Kosmider wrote.

Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports confirmed it, too.

“There is ‘less than a zero percent chance’ Aaron Rodgers will visit with the Broncos, per source,” Stevens tweeted. “It’s April Fools and that story is completely false.”

Mike Klis of 9News also rejected that report, saying there was “zero percent chance” Rodgers would visit the Broncos, let alone sign with them.

The Broncos seem happy with Nix, though his relationship with head coach Sean Payton might not be the best right now.
