NFL Fans Are Already Pissed Off Over League’s Big Change To Week 17 Schedule

Two days before the 2026 NFL schedule release, more details about the important dates of the upcoming season continue to emerge. Special games such as the New York Giants facing off against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1’s “Sunday Night Football” and the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Denver Broncos in “Monday Night Football” were already revealed.

Meanwhile, the league’s plans for the season-defining moments have made the rounds on social media, too.

On Monday, NFL reporter Ari Meirov revealed that NBC will broadcast two games in the Saturday slate of Week 17. The first game will kick off at 4:30 p.m. ET, and the second will start at 8 p.m. ET. Peacock will have the exclusive broadcast right to the second game.

Many fans didn’t like the idea of paying to watch that late game on Peacock. They let the league know how bad its idea was.

“Yeah let’s make the Saturday night game behind a pay wall. Great idea,” one fan said.

“‘Exclusive’ exclusive or will the TV markets for the two teams playing get it?” another fan said.

“Hate this. They want us to pay for Peacock to watch the game and then hope we forget we bought it,” a third fan said.

“Increasingly growing questions as to wtf NFL Sunday Ticket is for and why it’s hundreds and hundreds of dollars when you still need 15 other apps to watch the other games,” a fourth fan added.

“Good for them. I didn’t pay for the Peacock exclusives last year, I won’t be paying this year. Tired of having to keep getting more subscriptions,” a fifth fan wrote.

“Ugh Peacock? The NFL really wants more money,” a sixth fan commented.

Fans will wait before knowing which teams will play in that game. Considering that it is a Week 17 matchup, it should be a heavyweight fight.
