Rashee Rice can’t stay away from trouble. The Kansas City Chiefs’ wide receiver was involved in a serious car accident during the 2024 NFL offseason.
A judge sentenced him to probation for a reckless driving charge. He couldn’t comply with the rules and once again put himself in a complex position. The wide receiver tested positive for marijuana in violation of the July 2025 plea agreement that put him on five years probation.
As a result, the violation order sent him to jail for the 30 days he was supposed to serve over five years.
Rashee Rice Suffers Another Setback

While he deals with this situation, the Super Bowl champion had a procedure done that will keep him inactive for a couple of months. NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that Rice underwent a clean-up surgery on his right knee.
The procedure, done to remove loose debris that caused inflammation, will keep him sidelined for two months.
