The football community is praying for ‘Good Morning Football’ host Jamie Erdahl.
Erdahl, who replaced Kay Adams on the show in 2022, is a former CBS sideline reporter. She is considered a fan favorite, having slotted in perfectly following Adams’ departure.
The 37-year-old said she would be taking a hiatus back in March. She did not go into detail but disclosed she was dealing with an “extremely tragic health situation.”
As it turns out, Jamie’s father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer shortly after the Super Bowl. She announced his unfortunate passing on Thursday.
“3 days after the Super Bowl, my Dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Now, he’s gone,” Erdahl wrote in a tweet, sharing a photo of them together in Vikings colors.
“I loved him with my whole heart. He was so bright, social, kind, inclusive, generous, wise. I watched him make everyone’s world better. He made mine great,” she continued. “I’ll love you forever, Dad. SKOL.”
Prayers Are Pouring In Following Jamie Erdahl’s Painful Revelation

Erdahl’s colleagues and other members of the media are offering her support online, as are fans.
“So sorry, Jamie. Know it was hard for you and your family. Wishing you all comfort. My condolences,” Mike Garafolo wrote in the comments.
