Rams’ Super Bowl Odds Get Significant Bump Following Myles Garrett Blockbuster Trade

The Los Angeles Rams are the outright favorites to win Super Bowl 61 following their immense coup this Monday.
L.A. has agreed to a trade with the Cleveland Browns for the NFL’s Sack King, Myles Garrett. The two-time Defensive Player of the Year is headed to the Rams in exchange for Jared Verse.
The NFC West outfit was already the favorite to win the Super Bowl on Monday morning. Their odds have gone from +700 to +600 on FanDuel since the trade was announced.
Kay Adams noted as much on social media.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter provided an update on the trade shortly after news broke.
The insider reports that, in addition to Verse, the Browns will receive a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick and a 2029 third-round pick. The Browns are also said to view the Pro Bowl DE as a first-round pick, which he was back in 2024.
The Los Angeles Rams Kept Calling For Myles Garrett

The Rams reportedly developed an interest in Garrett after the Browns altered the terms of his contract in March. The team made a trade easier to facilitate. They did so by pushing back the options bonuses in the player’s deal from the 15th day of the league year to seven days before the start of the regular season.
Despite the above, Cleveland made it clear to the rest of the NFL that it had no intentions of trading Garrett. They also told the Rams so directly.
However, the latter refused to soften its stance and kept calling despite the Browns’ intransigence.
According to sources cited by ESPN, they were “the only team that tried to pry loose a player the Browns once deemed untouchable.”
Their persistence has resulted in what should be one of the biggest defensive trades in NFL history, which obviously bodes well for their Super Bowl chances.
