Froyd made unverified claims and even spoke on her own messy personal history tied to an NFL player. The 26-year-old NFL reporter, who had worked for USA Today since 2015, was fired on April 16 after publicly attacking Dianna Russini amid photos of her and Mike Vrabel.
Russini had just resigned from The Athletic following photos published by the New York Post showing her holding hands, hugging, and sitting poolside at a luxury Arizona resort with Vrabel. days after calling out Russini, she would be informed that she had lost her job.

Former USA Today NFL reporter Crissy Froyd alleges that at least six female journalists told her they had sex with NFL staff members or coaches while covering their teams.
In a piece for the Daily Mail, Froyd provided details on what she says is a broader pattern across the league.
“I’ve also been told by at least half a dozen female reporters that they have had sex with NFL staff and, in one case, a prominent NFL head coach, while they were covering the team,” Froyd said. “It takes a high degree of trust to make such a confession, so I assume that many other similar stories go untold.”
Froyd added that she did not care what consenting adults do in their private lives, but said she had problems with corruption.
“I do care, however, if the industry that I have dedicated my working life to since I was 15 years old and continue working within has been tainted by corruption.”
On Sunday, Crissy Froyd took to her X account and revealed two names.
“Wouldn’t it be funny if Sean Payton and Nick Caserio were involved?” she wrote.
Sean Payton is the head coach of the Denver Broncos, while Nick Caserio is the general manager of the Houston Texans.
