Brandon Aiyuk’s situation got a dark update amid his standoff with the San Francisco 49ers. The veteran hasn’t played a single snap since 2024, and continues to push for a trade away from the Bay.
On Monday, he dropped a clear hint on which team he wants to play for next. The wide receiver only follows his wife, the Washington Commanders, and Jayden Daniels.
Meanwhile, another NFC East team has emerged as a favorite to acquire his services. However, Aiyuk has something else to deal with at the moment.
Arrest Warrant Issued For Brandon Aiyuk

The California Post reported on Wednesday that a warrant for Brandon Aiyuk’s arrest was issued in North Carolina. He is wanted on a misdemeanor charge of exhibition of speed, per the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office.

The matter stems from a video that the player posted to his YouTube page in December. The clip showed him reaching speeds of over 100 mph on Santa Clara roadways in his Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing.

While he apologized for his behavior, that might not be enough for prosecutors.
