Giants Fans Holding Their Breath After What Happened To Abdul Carter At Minicamp

New York Giants pass rusher Abdul Carter has sparked some worry after limping off in training on Monday.
Carter, who’s headed into his second year with the Giants, is believed to have been at the center of a locker-room tiff in recent weeks. His public criticism of teammate Jaxson Dart was not well-received and eventually prompted a meeting.
With talk of the BTS issues having died down, the Giants may have bigger problems on their plate at the moment.
According to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News, Carter sustained an unspecified leg injury during minicamp practice on Monday.
“Development: Giants edge Abdul Carter had his entire left shoe and sock off, and he’s being examined by trainers. He is limping VERY gingerly off to the side,” Leonard reported.
“I didn’t see it happen, but Carter got banged up during this practice. He just limped into the indoor field as practice continues outside.”
“Dart called the hit in sick to my stomach,” one fan claimed.

Giants Believe Abdul Carter Is “OK”

According to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, the Giants aren’t too worried about the former Penn State star.
“Abdul Carter left Monday’s minicamp practice early and did not return. The Giants initial belief is that he’s OK,” Raanan wrote.
Despite a slow start to his career in New York, Carter remains an integral part of the Giants’ defense.
The 22-year-old was the third-overall pick in last year’s draft but did have a tough time adjusting to the pros.
He registered just 0.5 sacks in his first 12 appearances. He ended the season on a more positive note, getting 3.5 over his final five games.
The Giants are keen to see him build on the late run, but he won’t be able to do so if he can’t play, which they hope won’t be the case.
