Tavia Hunt, the wife of Clark Hunt, the owner of the Kansas City Chiefs, has spoken out about rumors surrounding Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding. She said many of the stories being shared online were simply not true.

Kelce and Swift married at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, July 3, with around 1,000 guests attending the ceremony. They kept the wedding private and asked guests to hand over their phones before entering the venue. Since neither Kelce nor Swift has shared photos or videos from the wedding, many rumors have spread online about what happened.

Some people claimed guests had to wait in long lines for food and drinks, while others said the reception even ran out of champagne. Hunt responded to those rumors on Instagram, saying they were false.

Rumors Do Not Match What Happened

Hunt did not hold back when she addressed the reports. She said the stories gave people the wrong picture of the wedding.

“This is such a false narrative,” Hunt wrote on an Instagram comment. “They did not run out of champagne. There were not long lines. Every single person was seated for the ceremony.”

She also praised the ceremony itself.

“The vows were spectacular, beautiful, touching, and absolutely perfect. It could not have been a more fabulous experience,” she wrote.

Hunt then criticized the people spreading the rumors.

“And, frankly, it’s inappropriate to make that kind of statement when you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. This is a rumor. It is not true.”

Her comments offered one of the few firsthand accounts from someone who attended the highly private event.

Former NFL TE and broadcaster Greg Olsen also shared his experience from the wedding during his podcast, Youth Inc. He described the guest list as unique and said the phone-free policy created a relaxed atmosphere.

“It’s hard to really put into words the people that you would see in line in the bathroom and people you would see in line at the bar,” Olsen said. “You’re kind of like, ‘What am I even doing here? What is this circle?’”

He added that guests enjoyed the chance to spend time together without cameras.

“Some people know each other, some people don’t know each other. So, you know, just a really unique crowd of fun people,” Olsen said. “But I think the environment that was created, no phones, no cameras, everyone could just be themselves, enjoy the night, enjoy Travis and Taylor.”

With Kelce and Swift keeping the details of their wedding private, comments from guests like Hunt and Olsen remain some of the only firsthand descriptions of the celebration.
