Cam Skattebo is known for running through defenders with reckless abandon. Now, the New York Giants running back has fans talking for a completely different reason.

New side-by-side photos making the rounds online show just how much Skattebo’s appearance has changed since entering the NFL. 

The image on the left shows the former Arizona State star during his rookie season with his short haircut. The latest photo tells a different story, as Skattebo is now sporting much longer hair.

The transformation was hard to miss, and it’s set tongues wagging.

Someone joked that “The kid from Matilda grew up to be a Giant.”

“He’s never gonna cut it again just like Sampson!💪🏽👑” someone else predicted.

“Lookin like Bam Margera,” said a third.

“That mfr will Run yo a** smooth over lols,” another comment read.

“That’s evil Skat,” one fan claimed.

Cam Skattebo Looking To Bounce Back From Year 1 Injury Struggles

While his look has changed, Cam’s approach on the field likely hasn’t.

The Giants selected Skattebo in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft after a standout career at Arizona State, where he emerged as one of college football’s toughest runners. He quickly became a fan favorite in New York thanks to his physical style and relentless effort.

He saw his rookie campaign cut short after he suffered a serious ankle injury in Week 8. The injury ended his season. But Skattebo has since returned to offseason workouts and has made it clear he plans to play the same brand of football when he gets back on the field. 

A viral recording from May showed him pulling off a backflip at a softball game. So he’s probably back at 100 percent. 

For now, though, it’s not his punishing running style grabbing attention.

It’s his hair.

Whether the long locks stick around once the regular season begins remains to be seen.
