Last month, Slater gave fans a look at a relaxing pool day. She posted photos wearing a bright red bikini top and a navy blue baseball cap while taking selfies with her fluffy tan doodle-mix dog. Other pictures showed her boyfriend, Ryan Bock, and a friend enjoying the day with her.

Earlier in 2025, Slater made her relationship with Bock public by sharing a photo of the two kissing, and fans quickly reacted because many have followed her career for years.

Most football fans know Slater for covering the Cowboys, but she has built a respected career across the NFL. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in journalism and government, then worked for ESPN’s Longhorn Network before joining NFL Network in 2016.

Moreover, Slater became one of the first women to receive a vote for the Pro Football Hall of Fame and later served as president of the Pro Football Writers Association.

For now, she is enjoying the final part of the offseason. Before long, she will be back on NFL sidelines as another season begins.
