Tom Brady For U.S. President? Reporter Says It’s Happening

Tom Brady’s move with WWE has got plenty of discussion about what he plans to do next. Now, NFL insider Mike Florio believes Brady’s growing list of business ventures and public appearances could be leading to something much bigger.

The 48-year-old former quarterback recently made several public run-ins with WWE star Logan Paul. They have been spotted together at FIFA World Cup final, and reports later claimed that Brady has discussed making a WWE appearance. While many laughed at the idea, Florio believes it could be part of a bigger plan rather than just entertainment.

Speaking on NBC, Florio said he first viewed Brady’s WWE interest as a possible mid-life crisis. “There are two ways of looking at this. One, it’s a sort of bizarre mid-life crisis for Tom Brady, it’s an exercise in ego, can’t get enough, got to do more,” Florio said.

Mike Florio Sees A Possible Political Path

Florio said an email from a reader made him reconsider Brady’s recent moves. He floated the idea that Brady could build support among wrestling fans before entering politics.

“There’s also a chance it is part of a broader plan. Is Tom Brady trying to cosy up to the wrestling base when it comes to for running for office? I did research this morning and the idea of Tom Brady running for president is not some new thing” Florio mentioned.

Florio also pointed to reports involving Brady’s former business partner, Sam Bankman-Fried. According to a February 2024 report from Puck, Bankman-Fried encouraged Brady to think about running for the Republican presidential nomination. He reportedly believed Brady could challenge Donald Trump before Trump officially became the party’s nominee.

Bankman-Fried is now serving a 25-year prison sentence after being convicted for the collapse of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX. Before the company failed, Brady promoted FTX as a celebrity ambassador and also owned shares in the business.

Florio added that Brady’s popularity, successful NFL career, and business background could make him an appealing candidate if he ever decided to enter politics.

“You don’t have to be a career politician. You don’t have to have any experience running anything. Brady at least has experience in business, experience in sports, life experiences, name recognition,” Florio said.

He even suggested that running for president could do more for Brady’s public image than getting involved with Logan Paul.

Since retiring from the NFL in 2023, Brady has stayed busy. He works as FOX’s lead NFL analyst under a reported 10-year, $375 million contract. Moreover, he also owns a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders and continues to grow his business interests through endorsement deals and investments.

The speculation remains just that, even as questions continue to grow around what his next chapter could look like.
