Disturbing Arrest Footage Surfaces Of Eric Bieniemy’s Son After Shooting His Mother [VIDEO]

Footage showing the arrest of Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy’s son has surfaced online after authorities charged him in connection with the shooting of his mother.

The video, shared by FOX 5 DC reporter Bob Barnard, shows 27-year-old Elijah Zion Bieniemy in police custody outside the family’s home in Ashburn, Virginia. The outlet reports that a neighbor told the station they heard two gunshots followed by a woman screaming.

According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the home around 7:32 p.m. Sunday after receiving reports of a shooting. Officers found an adult woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and transported her to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities identified the victim as Mia Bieniemy, the wife of Eric Bieniemy. She remained in stable condition Monday, according to law enforcement and multiple media reports.

Eric Bieniemy Leaves Chiefs Camp Following Family Tragedy

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office arrested Elijah Zion Bieniemy at the scene and charged him with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm inside a dwelling. He is being held without bond while the investigation continues.

The Chiefs acknowledged the incident in a statement released Monday.

“The club is aware of the incident involving Eric Bieniemy’s family. Out of respect for their privacy, we won’t have a comment at this time,” the team said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with them.”

Head coach Andy Reid also addressed the situation during training camp, saying Mia Bieniemy is stable and emphasizing that the organization’s focus is on supporting the family during an extraordinarily difficult time. 

Bieniemy was absent from Monday’s practice after initially joining the team in St. Joseph, Missouri, when the shooting occurred.

Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive, and court records do not indicate that Elijah Bieniemy has entered a plea. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has said the investigation remains active and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
