Aaron Rodgers Blasts “Scared” Anthony Fauci, Lashes Out At ESPN During Explosive Pat McAfee Appearance [VIDEO]

We’re at the time of year when Aaron Rodgers trends for saying something bold, controversial and completely unfiltered.

The new Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback wasted no time doing exactly that during his latest appearance on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’, which is usually the scene of the crime. 

After jokingly invoking the Fifth Amendment in response to Pat McAfee’s opening question, Rodgers immediately turned his attention to Dr. Anthony Fauci, who recently appeared before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.

Rodgers criticized Fauci for repeatedly invoking the Fifth Amendment during the hearing.

“You got a pardon, and you’re in front of… and you pleaded [the Fifth] over 100 times?” he asked.

“What are you scared of, Tony? I thought you were the science,” he continued.

Aaron Rodgers Also Takes Aim At ESPN’s COVID-19 Coverage

The four-time NFL MVP didn’t stop there.

It didn’t matter that he was appearing on an ESPN show. Rodgers also criticized the network’s news priorities, questioning the amount of time they spent covering COVID-19.

“How much time did the network spend on that?” he asked.

He compared coverage of Fauci’s testimony to ESPN’s previous reporting on his COVID-19 vaccination status and other off-field storylines.

“How much time do they spend on my responses every week? On my vaccination status, on Taylor and Travis’ wedding?… Did they do even a minute on Tony Fauci? No, I bet they didn’t.”

Rodgers has remained one of sports’ most polarizing voices since his public stance on COVID-19 protocols and vaccines in 2021. His weekly appearances on McAfee’s show have routinely generated headlines extending well beyond football.

Now entering what he has suggested could be his final NFL season, Rodgers’ off-field opinions remain part of the package.
