The Philadelphia Eagles’ social media team may have some explaining to do.

Jalen Hurts threw an interception at training camp on Wednesday. That’s not exactly headline news in August. The Eagles posting the video themselves, however, was a little harder to ignore.

The clip showed Hurts dropping back and targeting Hollywood Brown over the middle. Quinyon Mitchell stepped in front of the pass and picked it off.

The Eagles actually posted the footage on X, captioning it “Right on Q.”

Jalen Hurts Is Already Dealing With Questions About His Passing Game

The praise was obviously aimed at Mitchell. However, the clip put the team’s starting quarterback’s interception directly in front of everyone.

So, of course, social media had a go. 

“THERE IS NO WAY THE #EAGLES POSTED THIS VIDEO OF JALEN HURTS. BRUTAL 😬😬😬,” MLFootball wrote.

Barstool Sports said, “The Eagles’ social media team is doing Jalen Hurts no favors.”

Someone else joked, “Aj Brown still got the social media passwords.”

“posting your qb1 interceptions is wild ngl,” one user claimed.

Another fan simply called the decision “all time dumb.”

Hurts finished 2025 with 3,224 passing yards and six interceptions. His 25 touchdown passes helped produce a 98.5 passer rating.

He also struggled to produce the same passing volume as some of the league’s top quarterbacks.

Meanwhile, A.J. Brown is no longer in Philadelphia.

The Eagles have added Brown’s replacement options, including Dontayvion Wicks and rookie Makai Lemon, while the other Brown remains another new target.

That makes the timing of this clip particularly interesting.

Hurts has reportedly spent camp working more from under center and attacking the middle of the field.

So perhaps the Eagles weren’t trying to embarrass their quarterback at all. Perhaps they simply wanted to celebrate Mitchell’s interception.

Still, whoever approved the post probably knew exactly what would happen. The Eagles wanted to show off their defense. Instead, they gave everyone another Jalen Hurts debate.
