Texans QB CJ Stroud is reportedly seeking approximately $70 million a year. The Texans prefer a figure in the fifty to fifty-five million range instead. In addition, the gap leaves the parties not close on any agreement.
Adam Schefter noted the lack of proximity during recent comments on the matter. Consequently, the negotiation timeline could extend into the regular season or beyond.
The Texans are likely hoping that Stroud can play his way into a deal during the upcoming season.
