Simone Biles Calls Out Husband Jonathan Owens For Being A “Stage 5 Clinger”

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have never been shy about showing love in public, and Biles just gave fans another fun peek inside their relationship.

She recently took to her Instagram Story to share a sweet snapshot from their bedroom, playfully teasing Owens for being a bit needy. In the photo, the NFL safety was lying in bed scrolling on his phone with one hand while holding onto Biles’ fingers with the other. The Olympic gymnastics icon joked that her husband is a “Level 5 clinger” who refuses to leave her side, a sweet moment that came right in the middle of his busy training camp with the Indianapolis Colts.

Biles also dropped by Colts practice on August 17 to show her support, sharing cute clips and photos of them kissing on the sidelines as they made the most of their time together amid his hectic schedule.

Biles And Owens Keep Their Relationship Close

Owens joined the Colts in March on a one-year contract. The veteran safety previously played for the Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers, and Chicago Bears.

His NFL journey started after he went undrafted out of Missouri Western State. Since then, Owens has built a steady career through persistence and multiple opportunities.

Biles has supported him throughout that journey. She has also made her pride in his career clear, especially after he entered the NFL without hearing his name called during the draft.

The couple first connected through the dating app Raya in 2020. They married in 2023.

Their relationship has faced plenty of attention over the years. Owens drew criticism after he discussed their early dating experience on “The Pivot” podcast in 2023. He called himself “the catch” and said he did not initially know who Biles was.

The couple moved past the controversy and have continued to share parts of their lives with fans. Their social media posts often mix affection with humor.

Earlier this summer, Biles also revealed that she faced a serious health scare while Owens attended Colts activities. She called the experience “one of, if not the scariest experience of my life.” She later said she recovered at home, while Owens accompanied her for a medical procedure.

After putting together one of the greatest gymnastics careers of all time, Biles is enjoying life away from regular competition, while Owens gears up for another NFL season.

Even with their demanding schedules, finding time for each other is clearly still a top priority.
