“Oh Dang” — Mike Evans Couldn’t Believe It When Someone Told Him The Rams Flew To Australia 28 Hours Before Their Game [VIDEO]

Mike Evans had a great debut for his new team, the San Francisco 49ers, in Melbourne, Australia. While his team was well prepared before the game, the Los Angeles Rams were not.
It’s well known that the Niners arrived in Australia seven days before their clash against the Rams. A flight from California across the Pacific takes around 15 hours, at the very least. Going there early would be the smart choice.
However, the Rams, maybe feeling a bit too good after their successful offseason overhaul, arrived 28 hours before the game.
Mike Evans Laughed When He Learned When Rams Landed In Australia

During a press conference, a reporter informed Evans of the Rams’ arrival in Australia. When he heard that it was the day before their game, the 49ers WR couldn’t control his laughter.
“Oh DANG! Maybe a few days earlier would have been ideal.”

A 15-hour flight from across the vast Pacific Ocean wasn’t truly ideal. When the Los Angeles Rams finally landed in Melbourne, photos of them exiting the airport immediately went viral.
All of them looked extremely exhausted.
The 49ers Walloped The Rams In Season Opener

Whether it’s jet lag, fatigue from the flight, or lack of rest, the Rams weren’t into it against the 49ers. They lost big against the well-prepared Niners, 27-7.
In his debut with his new team, Mike Evans played well on the field. He had six receptions, 49 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown.
Before the game, the Niners’ o-line was predicted to encounter some troubles on the field, but surprisingly, they managed to protect QB Brock Purdy all game long.
Purdy had 25 completions on 34 attempts for 203 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.
Maybe, just maybe, the Los Angeles Rams travel team should have put together a better itinerary, since they knew they would be traveling to Australia months ago.
