Joe Burrow may be a bit banged up ahead of the Bengals’ season opener against Tampa Bay. But he knows that he needs to perform at an elite level this year for a chance at that elusive Super Bowl.
After missing a ton of games in 2025, rumors of Burrow’s impending exit from the Bengals began to grow louder. Without their star QB, Cincinnati went 1-8 after starting the season 5-3.
Joe Burrow Addressed Rumors About His Future With Bengals

Burrow has spent his entire career with the Bengals since 2020. However, while some success was achieved, there were also forgettable moments.
But at last, the 29-year-old superstar QB has finally clapped back at the rumors that he may want out of Cincinnati.
“That’s just how I feel. I am where my feet here and I try to attack every day with a championship mindset. And I love it here. I love everything about this place, so we’re going to make it work,” Joe Burrow told FOX19.
“I mean what I say,” he said earlier this week. “I’m here for the long haul. I’m not going anywhere.”
Burrow Is ‘Proud’ To Be The QB Of The Bengals

There’s no doubt in Burrow’s mind that he’ll represent the Bengals for the foreseeable future. In fact, he’s proud of being the QB of the team.
“I’m just really proud to be quarterback of the Bengals,” he said. Burrow added, “I’m happy to be here. I’m proud to represent the city of Cincinnati, state of Ohio, the Brown family. I’m just proud and I want to make everybody else proud, too.”
Joe Burrow’s future with the team is kind of tied to his favorite receivers, Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase. Burrows’ contract runs through 2029, same as Higgins. Chase’s deal ends in 2028.
He needs all the help he can get from those two in 2026. Both are currently ailing with minor injuries.
