Watson had originally requested a trade in early 2021 due to severe frustrations with front-office hiring decisions. Shortly after his request, more than twenty women filed civil lawsuits accusing him of sexual misconduct.

That wasn’t bad enough for the Browns not to stake their future on him. These days, Watson is usually in the news due to controversy with his own fan base.

A viral post by McNeil on X highlights how major television networks intentionally omit Deshaun Watson from their prominent NFL marketing graphics.

Television networks like FOX and CBS routinely utilize team logos or alternate star players rather than showcasing the quarterback. This promotional exclusion stems directly from his immense off-field public relations baggage and highly publicized legal issues. Watson has faced more than twenty civil lawsuits alleging serious sexual misconduct and assault dating back to 2020. Consequently, broadcasting networks actively avoid placing his face on promotional material to dodge widespread public backlash and controversy.

Yikes.

Deshaun Watson has completed 40 of 52 passes through the first two games of the 2026 season. The controversial Cleveland Browns quarterback has registered an impressive 76.9 percent completion rate to begin the year. He has accumulated 443 total passing yards alongside three touchdowns against just one interception.

Consequently, his highly efficient on-field production has generated a stellar 112.9 passer rating for the offense. Watson has also added 60 rushing yards on 13 carries, but has already been sacked seven times.
