San Francisco 49ers star wide receiver Mike Evans suffered an apparent rib injury during Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. The prominent veteran playmaker entered the Week 3 divisional matchup already dealing with a lingering hip issue.

Early in the second quarter, Evans caught a routine pass and pulled off an incredible hook-and-ladder touchdown play. Subsequently, he absorbed a very hard, direct helmet hit to his left side from defender Budda Baker.
