Donald Trump Drops Wild Comments About “Very Handsome” NFL Star Before Taking Shots At Super Bowl Halftime Show [VIDEO]

Donald Trump gave another shoutout to Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart at the White House on Wednesday, calling the injured rookie a “very handsome guy” and wishing him a speedy recovery from his knee injury.
Dart first caught Trump’s eye back in May when he joined him at a New York campaign rally for Rep. Mike Lawler. Dart introduced Trump on stage, which ended up drawing some hate from people around the NFL for getting involved in politics.
Now, Dart has a long road back ahead of him. He hurt his left knee, damaging both his meniscus and MCL, during the Giants’ Week 2 loss to the Rams. He’s already had surgery, and New York has officially shut him down for the rest of the regular season.
Trump Defends Dart While Criticizing Halftime Shows

Trump brought up Dart while discussing the quarterback’s injury and his support at the May rally.
“He’s a little hurt right now,” Trump said. “Good quarterback, but he endorsed Trump so heavily and he took a little heat from a rather liberal group of people in the NFL.”
Trump then connected that criticism to the people involved with Super Bowl halftime shows.
“They’re people who put on the halftime shows,” Trump said, adding that he “doesn’t get” them.

Trump also claimed Dart had the NFL’s top-selling jersey after appearing at the May rally. However, available reporting found no evidence to support that claim. As per reports, the only reference to such a sales jump came from an X account that describes itself as a satire account.
“So, Jaxson Dart, who’s a great, talented, very handsome guy. And he loved Trump,” Trump said.
Trump then shifted back to Dart’s injury.
“I just want him to get better because we love him,” he said. “He got hurt. It’s a dangerous game.”
This isn’t the first time Trump has talked about Dart’s looks, either. In the past, he called the quarterback a “beautiful guy” and openly complimented his physical build.
He also brought back his usual complaints about Super Bowl halftime shows. Trump took another shot at Bad Bunny’s set from Super Bowl LX, where the Puerto Rican superstar performed with several special guests.
As for the Giants, they have to figure out how to survive the rest of the regular season without Dart. Jameis Winston and newcomer J.J. McCarthy will split quarterback duties while Dart focuses on getting healthy.
