Eagles & Ravens Complete Biggest Blockbuster Trade Of The Season Involving 27-Year-Old Pro Bowl Superstar

The Philadelphia Eagles have made the shocking move to part ways with Cam Jurgens.
On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Eagles shockingly traded two-time Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens. The blockbuster deal sends Jurgens and a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens.
In return, Philadelphia receives a 2027 fifth-round draft pick and a valuable 2028 second-round draft selection.
The aggressive mid-season acquisition directly addresses Baltimore’s highly critical, injury-plagued situation at center. The Ravens recently lost three veteran centers to severe, long-term injuries, leaving their interior offensive line depleted.
Meanwhile, Cam Jurgens had been shifting between center and guard positions for the Eagles earlier this season. Consequently, the trade allows Philadelphia to stockpile future draft assets while reshaping its current offensive front line.
Jurgens previously helped the Eagles win Super Bowl LIX and remains under contract through 2029.
Cam Jurgens is Not Cleared to Play
Despite being traded, Cam Jurgens is currently barred from playing because he remains under the NFL’s strict, five-step concussion protocol. The newly traded center suffered a severe head hit during his final game with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Consequently, the Baltimore Ravens cannot allow him to practice or play until independent neurological doctors clear him. He must successfully pass multiple physical exertion tests and remain completely free of lingering concussion symptoms.
Furthermore, this medical restriction is keeping him sidelined despite Baltimore desperately needing immediate help on its offensive line. The team is being highly cautious to protect his long-term health and ensure a full brain recovery.
Jurgens is currently working with trainers in a limited capacity as he slowly processes through the league’s mandates. Officials have not provided a specific return timeline, leaving his status for his upcoming game completely up in the air.
