An unfortunate broadcast slip of the tongue occurred during the Jets-Browns game.

New York is currently hosting Cleveland at MetLife Stadium for an intense Week 5 matchup. The ongoing battle features the 3-1 Browns as they attempt to secure another vital road victory in the early season. Meanwhile, the 1-3 Jets desperately need a win to bounce back from a rough three-game losing streak.

During the third quarter of the low-scoring game, an unfortunate incident happened in the broadcast booth.

During the Browns and Jets broadcast, an NFL announcer caused immediate shock by accidentally uttering a homophobic slur on air. The broadcaster suffered a massive slip of the tongue while calling a crucial play on the field. He mistakenly said “challenge fag” instead of clearly pronouncing the words “challenge flag”.

Social media users instantly noticed the glaring verbal mishap and began sharing the clip online.

He might have to issue an apology for that slip of the tongue.

The last time the Cleveland Browns started a season 4-1 was 2020. If they can win today, they can do it again while Deshaun Watson continues to play well under center.
