The Philadelphia Eagles did not see their end coming at the hands of a hobbled San Francisco 49ers team.

Everything that happened in the game was the story of their 2025 campaign. Even head coach Nick Sirianni pointed that out. “Felt like that was the story as our year progressed,” Sirianni said Sunday.

It was a game in which AJ Brown had to be held back from attacking Sirianni. The game showed, yet again, just how bad the team’s offense was. Offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo had been Public Enemy No. 1 in Philly and even had his house egged.

Following the elimination, the team fired Patullo. Amid the bad game were some distraught fans.

Eagles fans were feeling damn good inside Lincoln Financial Field before the game against the 49ers. Unfortunately, a lot of them were on their worst behavior. Outside Lincoln Financial Field, San Francisco fans were running into a bunch of issues.

One video showed young Philly fans yelling and cursing at them. That was just the start of things to come. Another disgusting video showed Eagles fans tossing beer cans at 49ers fans. They also screamed obscenities at them as they made their way towards the stadium.

The 49ers would ultimately have the last laugh when they won the game. That was also just the start of things.

One 49ers photographer made sure to capture the reaction of Philadelphia Eagles fans in the stands. One by one, X user “@kympossible3” took several pictures of the sad fan base as they watched the season come to an end.

Now, the 49ers have moved on to the Divisional round while the Eagles are headed to the offseason.
