49ers Superstar George Kittle Spotted Playing Golf Just Weeks After Tearing His Achilles, And You Won’t Believe How He’s Doing It [VIDEO]

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle continues his rehab after suffering a season-ending Achilles injury against the Philadelphia Eagles in the wild-card round of the 2025 NFL playoffs. Kittle’s absence took a toll on the Niners, who scored just six points against the Seattle Seahawks in the divisional round.
His wife, Claire, summed up how fans felt with her explosive reaction to Kittle’s injury at Lincoln Financial Field. Not even two weeks removed from the surgery, Kittle took the field and actually played. He still has a long way to go before taking the gridiron again, but he isn’t missing out on one of his other passions.
X account “Coach Yac” shared a video of George Kittle golfing. Amid his recovery, Kittle found a way to hit the golf course. The clip shows the tight end using a power-assisted club, manufactured by EzeeGolf. The club allowed him to hit the ball without all the moves he normally needs (plant, rotate or stand up) to play.

The process won’t be easy or fast, but Kittle has found support even from outside the football world. WNBA star Caitlin Clark, another passionate amateur golfer, sent a positive message to Kittle in the wake of his injury.
George Kittle Revealed A Best-Case Scenario Involving His Injury

After his team’s season came to a brutal end against the Seahawks, George Kittle discussed his process. Nick Wagoner of ESPN wrote that Kittle wanted to keep the timeline for his return “as a surprise,” but noted that he had a clean tear, which is positive in his case.
“Surgery went really, really good,” Kittle said of the injury. “(The doctor) said best-case scenario when you tear an Achilles is that you tear it up high by your soleus, which is what I did. I had a clean tear. They didn’t have to drill into my heel. And where the repair was, there’s more blood flow. And so it takes some time off of the recovery time… It’s not as bad as other ones.
“I knew exactly when it happened; it felt like someone put a shotgun up against my calf and pulled the trigger,” he added. “The second it happened, I knew exactly what it was… Unfortunate, but football’s tough sometimes.”
The 49ers went from worst to best in 2025. If they make the right moves in the offseason and Kittle comes back to a decent level, they could make more noise next year.
