5 Teams Emerge As Clear Favorites To Pull Off Jonathan Taylor Blockbuster Trade

Jonathan Taylor became the most wanted prize ahead of the 2026 NFL trade deadline. The star running back continues to enjoy a sweet campaign, ranking second in carries (140), fifth in rushing yards (587) and first in touchdowns (eight).
Taylor’s strong play and the Colts’ underwhelming start to the season fueled trade rumors. Indianapolis could trade away another star after they moved on from DeForest Buckner and Quenton Nelson earlier this week.
Despite stating that he has not requested a trade, the Colts keep the doors open for a potential Taylor move. Multiple franchises are reportedly keeping tabs on his situation.
Jonathan Taylor Discussions Continue With Several Contenders Involved

Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport shared the latest on this situation on Saturday. The insiders reported that the Colts are open to trading Taylor away, and five teams have shown interest in acquiring his services.
“Multiple teams have reached out to Indianapolis, and those talks are said to be active and ongoing, according to sources.”
“The list of teams that have expressed at least some level of interest in trading for Taylor is thought to include the Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks, sources said.”
Tom Pelissero reported that the Colts won’t move Taylor unless they get a “premium” return for the star. As things stand now, Taylor will take the field against the Jaguars on Sunday. After that, the Colts could finally pull the trigger or wait another week to make a final call.
Taylor’s market is strong, but the Colts have the final say.
